Dr. Porter Turnbull
Dr. Porter Turnbull, was raised on his grandparent’s farm on Cape Cod and lived in Spain, Portugal, and Midway Island. He graduated cum laude from Tabor Academy a Naval Honor School. He completed his undergraduate education at Tufts University and the University of Maine where he received a Bachelor of Science with highest distinction. He attended Western States Chiropractic College in Portland Oregon studying chiropractic technique under Dr. A.E. Homewood. Dr. Turnbull graduated cum laude with a Doctorate degree in Chiropractic . He practiced in Oregon, taught at the college and conducted seminars in chiropractic technique for students and field doctors. Dr Turnbull undertook a rigorous Post Doctoral program and achieved a Diplomate in Chiropractic Orthopedics. He returned to the the islands and was the medical director for Pacific Medical Management in Honolulu. He was the on-board Medical Director for the National Geographic sponsored Ice Island Expedition to Antartica. Dr. Turnbull established North Shore Chiropractic and has been in private practice since 1984.
Doctor Turnbull is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and is a fellow of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedics. He is board certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedics. He has completed studies in Neurology, Nutrition and Sports Medicine. He also has hundreds of hours of postgraduate training in Soft Tissue Injury Diagnosis and Treatment, Temporomandibular Joint Disorders, Extremity (foot, knee, shoulder, etc.) Injury Diagnosis and Treatment, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Applied Kinesiology and Chiropractic Technique.
